How much will it cost to get a KSEB connection with a post in 2026?


Let's check the costs involved in getting a KSEB service connection that currently requires a post
⚡ Case 1: Weatherproof support
Connection requiring only one support post (currently 8 meter PSC posts are provided)
If
Support post: ECSC: ₹7,547 (including material and labor charges)
In addition to this, the following charges will be additional in each case.
✅Application fee: ₹50
✅CD: ₹300/1000 watts (domestic connection)
✅WP ECSC: ₹1914 (single phase)
₹4642 (three phase up to 10 kW)
For example, let's look at the total amount to be paid to KSEB to get a connection for a house with a load of 3560W requiring a support post.
➡️Application Fee:₹50
➡️CD:4x300=₹1200
➡️Support Post:₹7547
➡️WP Connection:₹1914
Total-₹10711
⚡Case 2: New Line Construction (Less than 50 meters)
When a single phase line is to be laid for a distance of less than 50 meters:
Basic Rate:₹10,076
Additional Rate:₹88 per meter.
This will include one post and stay. If an additional post or stay is required, an additional amount will have to be paid.
If the connection has one post and stay for 35 meters, the cost of laying the line alone is as follows.
➡️10076+(35x88)=₹13156

⚡Case 3: Post Insertion (Single Phase)
When a post is inserted into an existing line without pulling the line, the charges are as follows.
With stay-₹11706
Without stay-₹8563

⚡Case 4: Distance between 50 meters and 100 meters
For lines with a distance of more than 50 meters requiring two posts:
Basic rate: ₹24,233
Additional rate (applicable only for distances above 50 meters): ₹88 per meter.
If the connection is 70 meters with two posts and two stays, the cost of pulling the line alone is as follows.
➡️24233+(20x88)=₹25993
The additional charge is only for the distance of 70-50=20 meters.
